The first MIRACUM DIFUTURE Winter School 2022, with the topic “Old and New Use Cases of the Medical Informatics Initiative”, took place in Rh\u00f6n from 21 – 25 November 2022. Under this topic, the experienced speakers from the four consortia of the Medical Informatics Initiative gave the participants a detailed overview of the new use cases (ACRIBIS, CALM-QE, PM4Onco, PCOR-MII, PrivateAIM, GeMTex, EyeMatics) as well as the old use cases and their integration into the DIZe in lectures and with practical exercises in group work. Furthermore, it was shown how the Data Integration Centers (DIZe) can be integrated into the new MII projects. <\/span>
\nA total of 1,590 minutes of lectures were held, of which 72% were in attendance and 28% online.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the technical training sessions, there were also two social events, a games evening and a guided tour of the Merkers mine experience, with enough time for intensive getting to know each other and team building. In addition to the exchange of information, the evenings were also used spontaneously for billiards and bowling at the bowling alley.<\/span><\/p>\n

The participants gained a lot of knowledge. In addition to getting to know each other intensively, the participants grew very close together, which will certainly have a lasting effect on the cooperation in the MIRACUM team and in the Medical Informatics Initiative (MI-I) later on<\/span><\/p>\n
