Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) confirms positive progress in the development of the MII Data Integration Centres through external audit.

According to the external auditors, essential foundations and organisational structures have already been created. In addition, the sites have relevant concepts for further development of the data infrastructure, data management and compliance with data protection regulations. “Already one and a half years before the end of the set-up and networking phase of the MII and despite the great strain on the university hospitals during the Corona pandemic, 90 percent of the sites were assessed as well advanced or advanced,” the BMBF announcement reads.

Details can be found in the official press release of the Medical Informatics Initiative and in a recent announcement regarding the external auditing process of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
