The MIRACUM consortium publishes the MIRACUM Journal annually. This journal addresses the topics of the German medical informatics initiative with a focus on MIRACUM concepts, highlights and progress. In this issue, in addition to the successes achieved so far, outlooks for the next (interim) goals are given. In addition, the other three consortia within the medical informatics initiative, DIFUTURE, HiGHmed and SMITH are presented.
